It took a bit too long for the Bills to turn the game over to
Devin Singletary in Week 1, but once he got
action he
looked good. Will he see enough volume
week to
week to be a viable fantasy option?

After just one week of football being behind us, it seems no team is exempt from having questions surrounding them.

We've got team-by-team breakdown from all 32 teams and what their biggest storyline or concerns are after Week 1.

Arizona Cardinals: Can Kyler Murray be a season-long QB1 in 12 teams leagues? He was QB11 in Week 1 in a tie against the Lions, but it took a him half to get his feet under him. Murray threw the ball for 308 yards and two scores, but had just 13 yards rushing. I would expect the passing yards go down, but the rushing yards go up, keeping him in the conversation most of the season.

Atlanta Falcons: Will the Falcons have a running game? The Vikings defense is really good, they allowed just 12 fantasy points to Devonta Freeman and Ito Smith. It was a game where the Falcons trailed the whole time, but not far enough to break the script all game. I’d hope they can figure it out against Philly. But I wouldn’t count on it.

Baltimore Ravens: Is their passing offense for real? Short answer, no. I wouldn’t count on it, but Jackson did show he is capable of lighting of the scoreboard with his arm. Much like Murray, I don’t expect the passing numbers to always be there, but Jackson can run the ball. I would like to see what they do against a real defense, but dates with the Cardinals and Chiefs the next two weeks sounds mighty tempting for Lamar owners.

Buffalo Bills: Can we play Devin Singletary? The Bills cut LeSean McCoy before the season, seemingly handing the keys to Singletary. We managed 98 yards in what was a negative game script for quite some time. If he can continue to catch the ball out of the backfield and manage more than 28 yards, he should find himself a weekly RB2.

Carolina Panthers: What’s the deal with Cam? There was talk early in the offseason that Cam may not even play this season and in Week 1, it seems like he may have indeed forgotten. Cam struggled against the Rams throwing for just 239 yards and not reaching the end zone. The fullback got Cam’s normal goal line carry. Cam should get back to normal in Week 3 with a tough Thursday Night Game.

John Ross No. 3 put up a MONSTER game in Week 1, but
will it continue, or was it an aberration?
Cincinnati Bengals: Is John Ross for real? If Ross can find his way into the top 24, he will be the fourth receiver in as many seasons to find his way into the WR2 conversation in his third-year,
joining teammate Tyler Boyd, who did it last year. Ross has 7 catches for 158 yards and two scores, getting behind the Seahawks secondary multi times. I would temper my expectations though.

Chicago Bears: Is Trubisky a dud? Trubisky missed time and still was close to being a QB1 last year. He was really bad in Week 1 against the Packers. Derek Carr torched the Broncos at times on Monday, so Trubisky should fare better Sunday afternoon.

Cleveland Browns: Will OBJ turn into a distraction? Odell caught 7 passes for 71 yards in his Cleveland debut, but should have fared better in a blowout game. Odell seems to have an issue with not wearing his watch on the field. We’ll see how this one unfolds.

Dallas Cowboys: Can Dak sustain two Top 24 WRs? Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup both blew up against a shoddy Giants secondary on Sunday, both scoring a notch over 22 points. They’ll face better defenses than the Giants going forward.

Denver Broncos: Can Flacco be better? Probably not. But he can be better than he was against the Raiders. The Broncos have good pass catchers, they just need to get Emmanuel Sanders more involved.

Detroit Lions: Will T.J. Hockenson be a TE1? Probably. It’s a shallow position and he’s got a pretty big jump on the field with a 6-131-1 game. Hockenson has tied for the second-most targets from Matthew Stafford.

Green Bay Packers: How will Aaron Jones fare? Jones was being drafted as a mid-range RB2, but predictably struggled against the Bears in Week 1. He doesn’t really get a break, facing solid defenses until Week 5’s matchup against the Cowboys.

DeShaun Watson damn near led the Texans back
over the Saints in that Monday night thriller.
He just scored too fast. The real takeaway from
that game, though, is how many times he got hit.
Will he be able to stay healthy taking shots like
that game in and game out?

Houston Texans: Will Watson last the whole season? Watson looked really good against the Saints, when he was on his feet. The third-year quarterback got hit A LOT. If he can stay on the field, he could be QB1 this season.

Indianapolis Colts: How good Will Brissett be? The Chargers are a really good defense, limiting Brissett to a QB17 finish. Brissett has just 190 yards, but found TY Hilton for two scores. Losing Devin Funchess will hurt him, as it seemed like he was a favorite target of Brissett, who should remain on waiver wires for now.

Jacksonville Jaguars: Will Westbrook and Conley succeed with Minshew? The Jags didn’t plan on losing Nick Foles less than a half into the season. Gardner Minshew stepped in well, carrying Conley and DJ Chark to top 24 finishes this week against a poor Chiefs defense. The going may get tougher, but as long as the volume is there, they should continue to produce.

Kansas City Chiefs: Who steps up in Tyreek’s absence? As long as he’s on the field Sammy Watkins is the WR1 for the Chiefs. As for who replaces Tyreek, that is up in the air. Mecole Hardman, who they drafted to replace Tyreek is the obvious answer, but don’t sell DeAnthony Thomas, who has long been in the Chiefs system, short. Watkins and Demarcus Robinson are the WRs to own.

Los Angeles Chargers: Will Justin Jackson get more touches? Jackson was out touched by Austin Ekeler 18-7 and Ekeler produced with those touches. Jackson doesn’t really offer any standalone value at this point, but keep an eye on Ekeler’s health.

Los Angeles Rams: Can we start both backs? Todd Gurley basically split touches with Malcolm Brown (15-11) against the Panthers, which I would expect to be the long term plan for the Rams. When the Rams get into a shootouts, Gurley will catch more passes. The concerning point would be that Brown got the goal line touches. Monitor the situation as it goes forward.

Miami Dolphins: How long do they go with FitzMagic? Unless he is benched at some point this week, not for awhile. Based on his track record, Fitzpatrick will pull a 5 TD game out of his behind in the next couple of games. Don’t sell the Dolphins short, as somehow they always seem to play the Patriots close in Miami.

Will the Gary Kubiak run-heavy offense in Minnesota help
Davlin Cook finish as a Top 5 fantasy running back in 2019?

Minnesota Vikings: Will Dalvin finish as a top-5 back? Cook was awesome against the Falcons, but has been when healthy in his abbreviated three-year career. I would expect him to be good as the season goes on, even if he struggles this week against a Packers defense that stifled the Bears three-headed backfield.

New England Patriots: Is there enough footballs to go around? This is the most talented the Patriots offense has been since 2007 when they had Randy Moss, Wes Welker and Donte Stallwoth. Brady and Belicheck made it work then and as long as AB buys in, they should be okay. AB, Edelman and Josh Gordon should all be startable in deep leagues.

New Orleans Saints: How will Latavius Murray be season long? The Kamara-Murray split didn’t look anything like the Kamara-Ingram split. Murray did run for a 30-yard touchdown, but had just 13 yards on 5 carries otherwise. Murray is very touchdown dependent at this time.

New York Giants: How long until Daniel Jones appears? Jones got a warmup on Sunday against the Cowboys. I expect Eli to have a long leash and start the majority of the season. When Daniel Jones does become the starter, I would need him to produce multiple weeks before I even give him a sniff I’m a 1 QB league.

New York Jets: Will DeMaryius Thomas offer any value? Jamison Crowder was obviously Sam Darnold’s favorite target receiving 17 targets in Week 1. DT won’t change that, but the veteran presence will help both Crowder and Darnold as the season progresses.

We haven't seen Demaryius Thomas be ultra-productive
since his days wearing this uniform. Will he find a
role with the Jets?

Oakland Raiders: Will Tyrell Williams finish as a top 20 WR? Tyrell has promise leaving the Chargers in the offseason and even more promise when AB made his way into town. He delivered on all of that sans AB. Williams beat the Broncos defense on multiple occasions, topping 100 yards and scoring a touchdown.

Philadelphia Eagles: Who is RB1? Miles Sanders, Darren Sproles and Jordan Howard all splitting snaps and Alshon Jeffrey rushing for their lone touchdown. Sanders had the most carries 11-9 over Sproles. They’ll ease in Sanders, but it will be him.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Who is their second WR? Donte Moncrief out targeted James Washington 11-6, but Washington did more, catching 2 balls for 51 yards to Moncrief’s 3-for-7. I’m on the Moncrief bad wagon going forward.

San Francisco 49ers: Who carries the load for Coleman? Matt Breida will get the starts, but Moestert and Jeff Wilson will certainly mix in, in classic Shanahan fashion. I would play Breida as a flex option, but keep expectations for high-volume numbers low.

Seattle Seahawks: Will Carson continue to get 20-plus touches? As long as he keeps producing with those carries, he will hold of Rashaad Penny. Unless Pete Carroll forgets how to coach again. Carson turned 21 touches into 81 yards and a pair of scores.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Can you play any RBs? In DEEP leagues, yes. Otherwise, good luck. Ronald Jones was the top producer in the backfield, but saw the least amount of carries. Bruce Arians said Tuesday that Peyton Barber is the starter. Until the figure it out, good luck figuring it out.

Tennessee Titans: Have they figured it out on offense? With their third offensive coordinator in three years, the Titans stood out in Week 1, torching the Browns. I’m not buying in, like every other over-hyped sports franchise, the Browns acted like front runners, wilting when they got down early.

Washington Redskins: How long is Keenum starter? Well, if he keeps putting up QB5 Numbers, a long time. If you ask Doug Green, Week 3. I think the Redskins hold on to Keenum until at least their Week 10 bye week.

Fantasy Outlook: Cam Newton

Cam Newton signed a one-year deal with the New England Patriots on Sunday evening What should you expect from 2015 MVP quarterback? Quarterback Cam Newton signed a one-year-deal with the New England Patriots worth up to $7.5 million, per league sources who told ESPN's Chris Mortensen and Adam Schefter . After suffering several injuries over the last couple seasons, including a Lisfranc injury that cost the quarterback 14 games last year, the Patriots have found their answer under center. It’s important to note that learning the Patriots playbook has been notoriously difficult and given the late timing of this signing I would follow reports out of New England very closely over the coming months to see if Newton is even ready for Week 1. Newton certainly provides an upgrade over 2019 fourth-round pick Jarrett Stidham or journeyman quarterback Bryan Hoyer and provides a small ray of hope to all those fantasy owners with New England pieces. The 2015 MVP finds himself right back i

Week 7 Picks, Fades & Stacks

Leonard Fournette may have finally reached the $7,000 mark but he's still far too cheap .   My journey into the journalism world began with my love of sports. Writing sports was my passion. It was what I loved to do. My life, in fact. I wanted to be known for my writing. Published everywhere. The biggest papers in the country, the largest websites and featured on the million-viewer sports analysis shows. What I've learned about journalism and media, however, as I've gotten older, is that it's not about your byline or the amount of followers you have on social media, or even the amount of words you're allotted in a publication. Rather, it's about what you do WITH those words. Making those words have real impact. Using your byline in a way that can bring attention to causes and people who aren't million-dollar athletes or NFL superstars.  No. There are things that are bigger than football. And this is one of them. Dakovion Kennedy, a soph

Week 3 Waiver Wire: How to replace Brees & Big Ben

Many fantasy owners are feeling the blow of losing Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees, but don't just assume you need to rush to pick up their replacements. There are PLENTY of better options.  There were some serious blows dealt during Sunday's action. It wasn't enough that the quarterback I was on since I saw the matchup with Seattle ( Ben Roethlisberger ) blew out his elbow and is requiring season-ending surgery, but fantasy stalwart Drew Brees had to go and tear  ligaments in his hand the required surgery and HE'S out for about six weeks. Like a bad infomercial ... Steelers running back James Conner left Sunday's game as well, however, test results revealed "nothing serious," according to Jeremy Fowler. Devin Singletary tweaked his hamstring and was forced from the game against the Giants -- he had six carries for 57 yards and TD before exiting. Michael Gallup injured his knee during Sunday's route of Washington and will miss 2-4
